Tech support has a reputation problem, and it is earned. Here is where this business stands on the three things worth knowing up front.
Brandon Ruiz owns the business and does the work. Not a call centre, not a dispatcher, not an offshore queue — one local technician who gives you a name and turns up.
Diagnosis is $99, and it is waived when you go ahead with the repair. You get a clear quote before any work starts, so nothing on the invoice is a surprise.
We are an independent service provider. We are not Microsoft, Apple, Dell, HP or Lenovo, and we are not authorised by them — we just fix the equipment they make.

These terms apply when you use this website or book work from LB Computer Help, a mobile computer and IT repair business owned and operated by Brandon Ruiz. Booking work means you accept them.
We are an independent service provider. We are not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by or sponsored by Microsoft, Apple, Dell, HP, Lenovo or any other hardware or software manufacturer. Product and company names belong to their owners and appear here only to describe the equipment we work on. If you want the manufacturer's own support, contact the manufacturer directly.
On-site and remote computer and IT support for homes and small businesses — repair, setup, networking, data and general troubleshooting. We travel to you. We do not run a walk-in shop, so there is nowhere to drop equipment off.
Diagnosis is $99, and it is waived if you go ahead with the repair.
You get a quote before any billable work begins. If the job turns out to be different once we are into it, we stop and re-quote — we do not run up an invoice you have not agreed to. Prices shown on this site are estimates for typical work, not binding quotes; the quote we give you for your specific job is the one that counts.
Parts are charged separately and are subject to supplier availability and price.
Payment is due when the work is finished unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Invoices unpaid after 30 days may be subject to a late fee at the maximum rate California law allows. We may stop work on unpaid accounts.
Appointment windows are estimates, not guarantees — traffic and the job before yours both move. We will tell you if we are running late.
Please give us as much notice as you can if you need to cancel. Repeated no-shows may mean we ask for payment up front next time.
You are responsible for backing up your data before we touch your equipment. Repair work — especially on drives, operating systems and anything already failing — carries a real risk of data loss, and some failures destroy data no matter who does the work.
We will take reasonable care, and we will tell you when we think a job is risky. We are not liable for lost data. If your data matters, back it up first, or ask us to make a backup as a separate paid step before the repair starts.
You confirm you own the equipment or have permission to authorise work on it. You are responsible for having the passwords, licence keys and accounts we need. We do not bypass security or account locks — if you cannot prove the equipment is yours, we will decline the job.
We do not install unlicensed software.
Not every fault can be fixed, and some equipment is beyond economic repair. Where that is the case we will say so, and the diagnostic fee still applies for the time spent finding out.
Services are provided as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the work in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profit, lost business or lost data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under California law.
Content here is for general information and is not professional advice for your specific situation. The AI pricing tool produces estimates only — it does not create a binding quote and it can be wrong. We may change or remove anything on this site at any time.

Giving us your phone number means we may call or text you about your enquiry and your job. Standard rates apply. You can ask us to stop at any time and we will.
California is a two-party consent state. We will tell you before recording any call.
These terms are governed by the law of the State of California, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts serving Los Angeles County. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
